The use of subsoilers in soil preparation, for example, offers operational efficiency in farming, as it breaks up the compacted layer of soil without causing excessive tillage, keeping much of the plant residues on the surface, while subsoiling in depth, making space for root penetration and improving the porosity and the water infiltration, which generates greater strength, because rooting is deeper and, consequently, better establishment of the crop to be deployed.
Avoiding soil disturbance, compaction, and taking advantage of the weather is a planned vision and essential. Thus, in times of continuous rainfall, soil erosion can be minimized and, in times of great drought, as is now the case in many regions of Brazil, due to better water infiltration and better rooting, the plant can seek humidity and nutrients in the soil.
